Hi everyone! I recently got back from a road trip through British Columbia, and I can’t stop thinking about it. One of my favorite moments was stopping in Whistler. The vibe there is incredible, with all the outdoor activities and friendly locals. I’ve been to several places across Canada, but there’s just something special about BC. I’m thinking about possibly relocating there. What’s it like living there long-term? Any advice for someone looking to make the move?

I haven’t lived in BC, but I visited last summer, and it left a lasting impression. I remember driving along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, and the views were absolutely breathtaking! There’s something about the combination of mountains and ocean that feels unique. Even just staying in a cozy Airbnb and exploring nearby trails was a memorable experience. It seems like BC has a little bit of everything, and I can see why so many people love it there!

Welcome to the forum! Whistler is indeed a gem. I’ve lived in BC for over five years now, and I can definitely relate to your excitement. I initially moved to Kelowna for the wine country and beautiful lakes. It’s been such a fantastic experience getting to know the local culture and enjoying outdoor activities year-round. You might find supporting BC Local to be a rewarding part of life here, too. Plus, the community is really welcoming. Just make sure to embrace the slower pace of life compared to the big cities; it might take a bit to get used to, but it’s so worth it!
